La Petite Fleur, more than just a “small flower” shop

I recently met up with Leigh Karsch of  La Petite Fleur  ~an amazing boutique in Glenside PA that is so much more than just a “small flower” shop.  Leigh is a talented designer who developed and launched her own line of fine stationary, custom announcements and exquisite invitations before she teamed up with two equally talented woman and created the wonderful La Petite Fleur.   The shoppe is a full service retail boutique that offers flowers, gifts, sophisticated style advice, event planning, design consultation, decorating, and of course beautiful stationary — all under one roof.  I recently visited the shoppe myself which is located in the heart of Glenside and I was absolutely blown away when I walked through the door!  It is stunning!!  With a mix of all things beautiful and the smell of fresh flowers to make it even more delightful, this shoppe is a must visit, especially for anyone who is getting married or hosting an event in the near future!  When you stop by be sure to tell them that I sent you!!

I was so impressed with Leigh and La Petite Fleur that I decided to join her team!  I am now on board as one of the preferred photography vendors and I am excited about working with Leigh on some upcoming projects!!  Find out more about Leigh and her boutique in the Q&A interview below:

Leigh, how did you come up with the one-stop-shoppe idea behind La Petite Fleur?
My business partner and I had been working with brides doing flowers and invitations for a number of years and had often collaborated on projects. We began to feel that we could offer even more to our clients by joining forces and adding two other essential services (planning and photography). And the best part would be that clients could come to one shoppe for everything. The result is La Petite Fleur–a collaborative where we work together with clients and each other to come up with incredibly creative and unique events. Our clients are loving the convenience and the concepts.

Why Glenside?
We are on Easton Road in Glenside, which sits across the street from the Glenside Train Station, and is easily accessible from Philadelphia (20 mins) and many surrounding locales. Its a central location and its an up and coming area.

What types of events do you work on with clients?
We do a lot of weddings for brides and grooms located in and around Philadelphia. We’ve got a wedding this weekend that is an ‘Old Hollywood’ theme. For Jessy and George, we’ve created Save the Dates in the shape of movie tickets, shower invitations, wedding invitations, flowers and we are also acting as their wedding planner for the event.

We also do many Mitzvahs with local families. We’ve created elegant, sophisticated affairs, which we have often combined with themed events that appeal to a younger audience.

In warmer weather months, we are often providing services for smaller events, like graduation parties, baby and wedding showers–everything from favors, to place cards, menus and flowers.

Ok, say I am getting married in 2009–why should I check out La Petite Fleur?
For one, you can accomplish a lot in one visit–you can meet with any or all of our service providers at a time that is convenient for you. (Evenings, weekends, whatever works)

Secondly, you will be meeting with the owners and the artists, and you will receive very personalized service. We are a boutique, so we are smaller and offer more specialized services–no one else will get what you are getting. No two events are different.

In addition, because we are smaller, we are more willing to work within both your concept and your budget. We pride ourselves on our responsiveness and our customer service. And we love new and different ideas–challenges are where we shine. So all of these things combined, make us a must-see.
