“You like me, you really really like me!” -Sally Field and Karen CareyÂ

When Lena Hyde asked to feature me in her highly regarded DESIGN AGLOW magazine, I jumped at the chance!  This magazine is fabulous with stories of inspiration, articles on design and marketing, and a studio feature that gives you a glimpse inside some of the most successful studios in the country.  The new issue #5 is titled the “Success Issue” and it features some of the industry’s top photographers.  I am  honored to be part of such a fabulous issue which includes other awesome photographers like Tara Whitney, Jesh DeRox, Justine Ungaro, Jen Thompson, and Andrea Joki.  If you haven’t seen this yet~ check it out along with all of the past issues and take a peek at the BLOG for weekly teasers and inspirational ideas.

I was honored to be chosen by the American Society of Media Photographers as one of the BEST OF 2006, and featured in the organization’s national trade publication along with 19 other amazing photographers from all over the country. Â I was selected for inclusion based on review of my ongoing work with Flashes of Hope, a non-profit organization dedicated to creating powerful uplifting portraits of children battling cancer and other life threatening illness. Â I have since become extremely committed to serve and fundraise for this amazing organization. Â If you are interested in volunteering or making a donation, please email me!! Â There are so many ways to make a difference and support these children and their families. Â Â
If you would like to read about my experience the first time I volunteered at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, you can read it here. Â Â You can also read about all of the other photographers and their projects in the ASMP magazine here.Â
