It is hard to believe that September has come and gone already. Thank goodness the summer of 2011 and all of its humidity has been replaced with the crisp breezes of the October and the autumn season. The studio has been a buzz all summer and we have so many great sessions from the beach and beyond to share on the blog in the next few weeks. We have been working really hard installing new displays and preparing the studio for our upcoming holiday Sip’n Shop event on November 11th. Mark your calendar and follow the blog for your invitation and event details.

Blessings continue as business booms and we gear up for the holiday season. Our calendar is filling up quickly so if you have not already booked your holiday portrait sitting, NOW is the time to call to avoid disappointment.

The THRIVE Workshop in Palm Beach was a great success and we are thrilled to report that a second “THRIVE” has been added to the schedule! Professional photographers keep an eye out for the announcement of the date and location later this week!

In the meanwhile, check out this gorgeous pregnancy portrait created in our studio for one of our lovely clients. We are so excited to photograph her again after the baby is born in just a few weeks.

As one of four sisters, I am always fascinated by the way brother and sister siblings interact. With a son and daughter of my own I get to watch it play out daily. The boys often “present” as shy and innocent but truth be told in front of my camera where there is no hiding behind sheepish grins and boyish charms…

The brothers are definitely the “button pushers” in these relationships.

I have had such a glamorous group of hot mama’s come through the studio these past few months. Here are just a few images of two recent mother’s-to-be both photographed with exquisite with attention to detail regarding lighting, posing and composition. Absolutely beautiful. I cannot wait to get my camera on their new babies this month!

When it comes to pregnancy portraits attention to detail is paramount to success.

This portrait installation clearly does not keep to the general principle that artwork installed over a piece of furniture should not be longer than about 75% of the furniture’s width. But because of the over-sized scale of the side chairs and the simplicity of the arrangement, the larger portrait actually works better in this grouping than a smaller one would. In this case the beautiful portrait takes center stage and the magnificent chairs, which could easily have dominated the room, seem much more at inviting.
