1 comment A very special thank you to all who supported Breast Cancer Awareness Month and the 40 Under 40 Portrait Project. Our Courage Night Event and Portrait Marathon were a huge success!! We had a great turn out, despite weather set backs, and will continue to host shows and events in the coming months. Thank you to Faith and Hope Boutique, Susan G. Komen Foundation, Young Survivors Coalition, and all of the magnificent models who continue to inspire me daily. Our next venue will be the “Tickled Pink- Teens for the Cure Event” at the Comcast Center in Philadelphia on November 20th, 2009. Please come out to see the show and celebrate the beauty, grace and courage of all of the survivors~ while we fight together to find a cure!

no comments It is my honor to present the “40 under 40″ Breast Cancer Project, a powerful portrait series celebrating young women in battle and triumph over breast cancer. For over a year, I have been working with Faith and Hope Boutique on this compelling series of portraits that celebrate the beauty, grace and courage of 40 women diagnosed with breast cancer under age forty. The work is garnering national attention with inclusion in the prestigious Women in Photography 2008 exhibit, and nods in Rangefinder Magazine and The Photo Review. You can read about the project here and view a slideshow of the work here. (note: some nudity) You are invited to attend the opening of the exhibit at our Courage Night Event October 7th, 2009. (Download your invitation) Following the opening reception, the show will hang October 11th through October 29th at Photo612 Gallery in Haddon Heights, NJ as part of the National Breast Cancer Awareness Month campaign. The exhibit will travel throughout the year culminating with a book project, currently in production. 1 comment |
